The Next Room

In this room,
we’re both breaking down,
to the whispers of lies,
I’m sorry,
no you’re not,
don’t worry,
I’m not,
I guess we just don’t fit,
like a ball and a bat,
I don’t fit,
there’s something wrong with me,
you said i’m not good enough for you, anymore,
i’m captivating yet annihilating

So I walk into the next room,
where the photos of us fall,
and everything starts to break in this room,
like the photos,
smiles turn to screams,
laughter turns to disaster,
in this room,
softness turns to violence,
where the photos of us fall,
guess I’ll be walking in the next room,
where I live sadly after all

I’m at one end,
you’re at the other,
what happens now?
I don’t know,
and I don’t care,
yes i do,
but I won’t tell you that,
I’m crying,
you’re laughing,
what’s wrong with us?
We use to fit so perfectly,
like key in a lock,
I guess it was too perfect,
that we were so perfect anything could go wrong,
because we were perfect,
your hand in mine,
the world faded away,
your lips on mine,
I would never have it any other way,
but you said,
i can’t remember,
who are you?
who am I,
without you….

So I walk into the next room,
where the photos of us fall,
and everything starts to break in this room,
like the photos,
smiles turn to screams,
laughter turns to disaster,
in this room,
softness turns to violence,
where the photos of us fall,
guess I’ll be walking in the next room,
where I live sadly after all

in the next room I’ll cry,
as the photos of us fall,
and the glass slices my face,
and the blades make me shiver,
so into the next room…
