Words Mean Nothing

In the morning sunlight he drew butterflies on her cheek,
As dusk set she would uncover the truth beneath his clothes,
In the rain he would hold her close to keep her warm,
As he cried she held her hands out to catch his tears,
In the dark he would give on to desire,
As the sun rose she would smile in his arms,
In December two years ago he told her he loved her,
She killed herself two days ago. Words mean nothing.
