Artist's Description

Cosmopolitan weed. All species of the Senecio genus are poisonous, including Groundsel. In folk medicine it was used to treat female complaints, especially period pain, Pliny the Elder recommended it for toothache. It has astringent, a purgative and a laxative effects, large doses cause liver problems. These weeds are not grown in gardens, by choice. But as you all know weeds will grow where ever they want to grow especially where you do not want them.
