Great images are everywhere you go – just waiting for you to notice and capture.

I like that the environment is always changing. I’ve been back to favourite locations many times, noticing that each time something is a little different. The light has changed, there are leaves on the ground, someone’s parked their car in the way, the river has run dry – life has moved on.

My images are about taking inspiration from the surroundings, enjoying what’s going on and using a camera to reproduce (or distort) what I see. I don’t focus on one particular genre of photography because there’s simply too much out there going on. I focus on stories, details, faces, features and the memories images can provoke. This goes some way to explaining why I have a diverse portfolio.

I strive to create images that mean something to me. Images that preserve a moment in time or tell a story. I think most of all, I like creating something you can enjoy for as long as you like from a moment that will never be repeated.

Another reason to love buyer feedback

Thanks to my anonymous buyer from Burlington, USA who picked up a vibe from one of my images; packaged it as a tote and then filled it with something relating to the image as a gift for a special person…what a great idea! I hope she’s thrilled with the present! / Buyers are really creative too! / Norman

Thanks for leaving a note

I really love it when buyers leave a note – so here’s a big thumbs up to my most recent buyer from Brampton, United Kingdom that left me a note following their purchase. / It’s a little window into the people buying my works…and I love it! / Cheers / Norman

Creating vs finishing art - against the march of time

Time marches on and 2017 is already almost 1/12th over. It’s always a good time to consider goals and the beginning of the year has become the traditional time for reflection, consideration and goal setting. / It’s interesting to review which of my photographs people have been buying and broadly where they’re located around the word. Clothing seems to be pretty popular lately and there’s definite…
