Judds Charm is one of the ‘Lonely Tarns’ in the Anne Range, part of the Southwest National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Mount Anne at 1423m is the highest peak in the south west. Lightning Ridge is the tree covered hillside on the far side of the lake, and the higher parts of the range are visible behind it. Between the ridge and these higher peaks is Lake Judd which is a classic glacial lake. This area is frequently under heavy snow in winter. A walk through the Anne Range averages four to five days, but there are a few variations which can make for a longer visit, especially if there are a few tent-bound days waiting out the notoriously wet south west weather. The track is very rough with sections of deep mud and there are several spots where many people use ropes to haul packs.
