Artist's Description

She leaned into the hammock cords
and faced the moon through the mango tree,
I can’t stand the tropics she whispered low
please take me back to the icy sea;
take me back to where the paradigm shifts
and the clouds of religion rule the day,
never again bring me into all this light
unless you have a casita for me to stay;
a little casa and a blond-headed boy
and a cat that purrs like a marimba chime,
give me a bound straw broom to sweep the hearth
or otherwise don’t even waste my time.

Photo taken December 2015 in Hot Springs Village, AR, USA.
