When I paint, I always begin with an emotion or idea that is brewing inside and needs clarity. My pieces are layered with images, text, handwriting, papers - and eventually paint and pen and pencil and whatever else I can reach. It's my own therapy. It is important to me that each piece reveals a different part of my story. As I discover new truths about life around me, my hope is that my art will invite others to wander and discover, if only for a moment.
