A New Year!

Well sometimes you just feel like writing…

I am at the point in my life where I am content.. I have had some huge life changing events in the last two years. Tragic events such as watching one of my best childhood friends take her last breath, as I held her daughter in my arms. Luckily I know she was saved, I was with her at an evening church service when she went forward and gave her heart to Jesus. Less than 4 months later my husband of nearly 8 years enters our home announcing he is “done”.. He “can’t take it anymore”… We talked a lot, we tried counceling, we cried.. but the hardest part was leaving him alone in that house as the girls and I moved out. I knew he’d made a big mistake. But today he is happy, he has a new life, and a soon to be wife, even a little boy to raise. My girls and I are doing just fine. The other day my oldest daughter threw a tantrum over a “too tight coat” causing her to miss the bus. I sent her to her room and let her cry it out.. I ended up driving her to school, she pouted quietly in the back seat.. I pulled the car over and I saw her look up at me suprised not sure what I was going to do.. I told her to get in the front seat! She smiled and climbed up.. We held hands. When we pulled up to the stop light there was her Daddy in his big work truck.. She got all excited and called him from the cell phone and they waved and talked for a brief minute or two… Then we drove away….
