Artist's Description

Photo taken in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, USA. Radar is the affectionate name given to this particular Great Egret by photographers here in the Grand Strand area of South Carolina. After the oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico, Radar was one of the Great Egrets that was fitted with a tracker to study how these birds were effected by the oil spill. Radar however, is not a Great Egret that provides very much information as he never leaves the area. He is here all year long and never migrates. He is much loved for regular photographers to the area.

Camera: Nikon D5100
Lens: Nikon 70 – 300mm
ISO: 100
