Impressed by the number of people from a huge number of countries

To Queensland & Back 2016

In the Begining…

Today we set off from Newcastle and travelled quite a long distance ending in Gulargambone. It was a bright but nippy day with blue skies all the way. The caravan and car performed well and only a few things got left behind.

After climbing through the mountains it was so different driving across the plains. With smaller timber and wide open spaces it makes you aware of how big this country is.
The friendly van park welcomed us with a campfire on which they cooked soup and damper for all who wished to partake. The people around the fire came from many different places, not all in Australia. It was a happy place till it chilled after the sun set.
The next day we set off for Lightning Ridge. One of the best van parks we have visited. Excellent facilities. Only the gravel cover

How I enjoyed a presentation by fellow redbubbler carolelliott7

Last Friday evening I thoroughly enjoyed a talk given by Carole (redbubbler carolelliott7) at Finite Gallery, Caves Beach about depicting water in her artworks.…

Her delightful depictions of beautiful beaches, crystal-like waves and their inhabitants are fascinating as was her description about how she worked. She described the variety of techniques that she used in several media to depict her ocean and other scenes.

Translucence was a frequent topic and she discussed how she achieved these effects. Generously she answered questions from the audience and showed us a lovely variety of her artworks. It was a lovely arty night.
I am a bit sorry I do not qualify to attend her upcoming school holiday children’s workshops.

New Zealand trip

Well did you miss me. We are just returned from two weeks in the Land of the Long White Cloud. Weather stalled our outward bound trip and our return but other than a few miserable day the weather was crisp but okay-fine.
This was the first trip that I regularly wrote and drew in a journal. It definitely added to our trip. It was a RB Hardcover Journal

New Zealand certainly had my cameras clicking. Snow covered mountains, lakes and coastline feature but there was also time for some buildings and cultural items.

In the next few weeks I will be uploading entries from my journal and a lot of photos. I hope you enjoy them.

New layout of RB pages

It worries me that now when people click on to a page the products that it is available in are not visible. To encourage people to see what products are available I propose to add this sentence to the end of my descriptions and to encourage RB to do it automatically.

Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see the products which can be purchased with this design.

Fond Farewell

Today we paid a Fond Farewell to my Mum.
My apologies to all in my groups for neglecting them but whilst Mum was ill and then organising everything there was no time left for other things. Next week I will try to catch up, just need a breather first. KazM
