Birds seem to know when there has been rain in the outback and flock there in droves (or should that be flights) and the skies and areas around a previously dry lake or waterhole is suddenly abuzz with feathers and chattering. Miraculous!
I painted this as part of a series to select just one for the Australian National Cancer Research Foundation fundraising calendar of which I have been invited to be one of 13 artists to have their work featured. The calendar is a 2014 one and the opening launch is this My 18th. There will be a release of butterflies and the project is called Le Papillon and sponsors for the event and for each butterfly released are being sought. You may look at the website on www.lepapillonncrf.com
If you can make a contribution to this fabulous fundraising event you will be contributing to a great cause and hopefully the solution/cure to that terrible condition of cancer.
Sales of any of this artwork bought on the bubble will be donated to the National Cancer Research Foundation.
I feel truly honoured to be asked to be part of this calendar.
