Artist's Description

Buddhism sees the fully liberated man as a Bodhisattva,
as one completely free to take part in the cosmic and
social game. When it is said that he is in the world but not of it,
that he returns to join in all its activities without attachment,
this means that he no longer confuses his identity with his social role
that he plays his role instead of taking it seriously.

So the bodhisattva saves all beings, not by preaching sermons to them,
but by showing them that they are in fact already delivered,
that they are innately liberated,
by the act of not being able to stop changing.
You can’t hang on to yourself.
You don’t have to even try to not hang on to yourself.
It can’t be done, and that is salvation.

So they sing “We won’t be a buddha, we’ll be a bodhisattva. We won’t make the final attainment, because we would like to go back into the world of manifestation (samsara) and work for others’ liberation.”
