Artist's Description

Wild Phlox (also called Woodland Phox and Wild Sweet William) is native to eastern North America. It is a woodland flower but is more often seen, in these parts, growing in the shaded open areas beside the woods such a ditches, hillsides and sometimes fields and roadsides. Wild Phlox blooms in June for a couple of weeks. It’s blossoms are either purple or white and usually a mixture of both is found whenever you spot Wild Phlox. Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada.
