Twenty years ago I walked out of Edinburgh’s Dean Gallery with an ignited adoration for what I’d had just viewed, since then I’ve allowed art to become my main outlet for expression. In its simplest form, my work is a spontaneous exploration of colour and non-figurative abstraction through the act of painting. My trademark technique of building up layers of paint on the canvas both reflects and facilitates the ongoing changes to the narrative of my piece.
