Kathy Konkle, known for her clean style and brilliant colors, has been a freelance professional illustrator for over 30 years. Her vector illustrations have appeared in books and dvd’s and on a wide array of gifts, toys, fine art prints, greeting cards, calendars and stickers. Kathy is delighted to bring you a variety of fun new products showcasing her original illustrations. New designs are added frequently so check back often.

Kathy has worked with the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. and New York’s American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) scientists and doctors to illustrate and design books, interactive science and natural history museum displays, advertising, multimedia and web design. Kathy has illustrated over 50 books including nursing and emergency medicine text books for Simon and Schuster’s medical division Mosby publishers. Kathy is a regular book illustrator for Adams Media a division of F + W Publishing.

Formerly senior art director for pharmaceutical advertising agency Cline Davis Mann’s interactive media group, CDMImedia, Kathy is currently secretary for the New York Graphic Artists Guild (GAG) and top level exclusive illustrator for stock illustration company istockphoto.com. She is in the top 50 in sales of the estimated 20,000 illustrators who are contributors to istockphoto.com – the original microstock company. Kathy has been an istock vector illustration contributor since January 2005. She has several regular freelance illustration clients and works from her apt in the East Village, NYC.

Lori Konkle

Kathy is also happy to be able to bring you the art of her mother, Lori Konkle, on greeting cards and framed prints. Lori was a long time survivor of multiple sclerosis and she painted holding the brush in her mouth using a mouth stick or page turner. Lori passed away in 2007. In 2010 Kathy and friends went to Virgina and photographed as many of Lori’s paintings as they could locate. They shot 150 paintings in over 50 locations. The work can be seen in the upcoming book “Lori Konkle: Life and Art” written by Kathy Konkle.
