Artist's Description

Captured during a visit to the blackhouse village of Gearrannan, run by the local community trust Urras nan Gearrannan

The settlement dates back to the 17th century. However, the house seen here was probably built in the late 1800s. Very worth a visit if you are on the beautiful Outer Hebridean isle of Lewis.

Location: Isle of Lewis, Western Isles, Scotland, UK
Nikon D70, Sigma 18-200mm. Captured in JPG. Post-pro in CS4 with NikColorEfex.
