Thanks to Rodeorose for naming this tulip! It belongs to the Parrot Tulip family, probably an “Apricot Parrot Tulip” which I bought in the local greengrocer’s.
The petals contain several colours with crinkly edges and are quite stunning when they open up in a kind of feathery way. In normal daylight they have quite gentle colouring but here this one was particularly intense under the spotlight.
