Artist's Description

The impressive walls of the fortified city walls of Birgu/Vittoriosa, a traditional district across the Grand Harbour from the capital of Valletta. The walls were about 1 metre or over three feet thick and were probably built at the end of the 17th century during major reconstruction of the nearby Fort Saint Angelo.

Dedicated to Chas who is considering building similar walls around his house:-)

Location: Birgu (also known as Città Vittoriosa), Malta
Nikon D7100, Nikkor 18-200mm. Post-pro adjustments in Adobe CC with NikEfex filters.
