I’m a Melbourne based mixed media artist. I began my art study in the theatre, including production, design, stage management and direction. When the condition fibromyalgia seriously effected my health, I began to move in a more visual art direction.

I began by doing further study in art appreciation and art and spirituality which lead to a period of tertiary teaching in drama, art appreciation, history and art and spirituality.

When increasing ill health made teaching more difficult I chose to focus primarily on my own art, including exhibiting and some teaching and workshops.

My art practice is mostly a way of exploring how to express the feelings behind a life of chronic pain and as a way of trying to deal with it in an almost meditative way; sometimes making small marks on paper is all I can manage, at other times I can take those small marks and begin to combine them within others, creating something larger. Finding beauty in the imperfect is also something I love about art and its uniqueness.

A few new designs

I’ve added a few new designs, mostly simple watercolour with drawing designs based on repetitive patterns or ideas- a few kinda messy which I think work well for the journal covers especially. I’ve kept the pricing low for all of these. A few of them now include clothing!
