Deep in the garden
Way down the below
There’s a beautiful snail
With a shell of rainbow

Her shell was pearl pink
Baby blue and sea green
Her eyes had black lashes
That were twinkling at me

All over her shell
There were flowers and bees
Mountains and birds
Beetles and trees

I knew right away
I had stumbled upon
A magical creature
That rarely is born

The garden was full
of such beautiful things
They were drawn to her side
And were part of her bling

Because of her nature
So sweet and so kind
Everyone knew
She had presence of mind

They came and they stayed
and community minded
They set up a Centre
For injured and blinded

So if you were ill
and you needed a friend
The Snail would collect you
and bring you to mend

While you were waiting
for sunshine and rain
to bring on your healing
and dissipate pain

The beauty around you
would lift up your spirit
And sleep would come easy
It was idealistic
