Growing up, I always had a little stand up print of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and I learnt a lot about the kindness and spirit that accompanied that heart. I felt a beautiful deep connection with God and have been fortunate to have always had faith. It has not been a struggle for me to know God. This painting depicts a young woman with a number of hearts around her neck, she wears the hearts for protection, and whenever you gift this to someone else, remind them that it is your wish for them that they are protected from evil, from ill health, from loneliness and faithlessness and all the struggles that life brings. We know that life will bring them anyway, but it helps to know that we are so loved. I don’t believe in omens as such, but I do believe in letting others know how much we value them, and I hope this painting will serve to do that, as the essence is in the value we place on things that truly matter, it is also representative of how beautiful and clear and vibrant the world seems, when hearts of people of all different backgrounds, are united together for the sake of love, peace and reconciliation.
