Artist's Description

Miniature watercolour painting (70mm x 95mm) of my father when he was a lay missionary in New Guinea many decades ago. This painting was painted in watercolours on watercolour canvas. This was one of my first ever miniature watercolours, and I was motivated both by the image of my father working hard as a young man, (which was how I remembered him growing up), and also I liked the challenges this image presented such as the smoke from the chainsaw.
