Artist's Description

This is Adele Bloch-Bauer, famous for being the only woman painted twice by Gustav Klimt.
Here, freed from her prison of gold, Adele now stands out on her own. Formerly encased in metal she was beautiful but lost. Here she steps forward. In my redux of this painting, I un-peeled the layers of gold that Klimt took three years to apply.
