Where I live there are rainbows...

Today is Christmas day and I just signed up for RB. On my way to Xmas dinner, a huge Maui rainbow filled the sky from my home in the south to my friend’s home upcountry. The rainbow seemed to be born upcountry and I expected to find a pot of gold at the end but instead found peaceful rain falling after my morning at the beautiful beach. I can walk 5 minutes down the road and reach the beach. There are never more than 9 people at “my” beach at any given time and I savor the feeling of serenity.

One of our Hawaiian bruddahs in heaven wrote a song saying: “sound of the ocean soothes my restless soul” and I agree. How can anyone feel sad with the wonders of nature surrounding us. I just walk outside and embrace the sights, sounds, smells, essences of nature in our lives. What more can anyone desire but to be alive and well and blessed with this beauty? This is what we are all about and I hope our transition into 2009 brings a sense of peaceful minds and hearts of human kindness living in community.

Blessings to us all and to all a good night and inspirational new year.
