My Bath

My Bath

Must take a bath it removes my wrath
Along with dirt and grime simple for me
It is prime.

Muscles to tight I want to be a sprite
Hot water full of bubbles eases
All my troubles

Scent of lilac as I lay back
Skin begins to soften
As now it is sodden

Lights are out and candles
Are all about
Thoughts from the attic of my mind
Begin to seep and peek into the now

I hear a cry and wonder why
Stepping out of my time

I enter his room and undress
Him there I take him to my bath

Lay him on my breast and feel him
Begin to rest to my wonder

God’s greatest gift my baby boy
I begin to lift a smile I see a twinkle
In his eye a splash he makes with his fist

I lay back in awe for in his face I saw
God’s greatest gift for me a baby
In my bath.
