Artist's Description

With so much/many black lines on the very white panel it was difficult to get the real compositional feel of the finished work so I layed in some of the main shading and the position of light and darks to this sketch, ..it also brought out the lighting design which I always like to see even in abstract pieces such as this. Now when I apply the paint colors I can see and have a better feel for where I want them to go to further enhance this piece. I can go two ways from here. One wood be to just totally go for it on my own and paint it the way I feel like it and disregard the way the colors stay on the original(this would be my first choice) and the painting would take off in its special way with this composition …but for the sake of staying in tune with sojie and the interpretation of works , I will forgo this way(very tempted though I am) and paint this in a way that is consistent with the original piece so as to have the same type of “look and feel” and not stray too far off so it can be more beneficial and in line with the work shop( just for you Frannie lol!!)
