Artist's Description

My Dearest Silver Strings

I don’t know a string so dear to me,
than the one I see here in front
So full the vibrations
like a symphony of violins all in one medley,
she sings to me, so lovely the tune
melting my heart with a song
I can hear my heart beats for her Now,
twisting here turning there
dancing singing twirling everywhere
all together at once there
Now in my heart.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard
such sweater sounds then
Now she sings to me,
tingling so softly in my chest ,
as if it were a butterfly song
to tickle my heart , so as not to cry
for wanting no longer,
the love I found in you

I have strings in me too
but not so pretty the song.
They have deep scars
from battles I’ve fought,
but I would be willing to
play a tune with you

Can sing them to the stars,
and back, she once said to me
seems so long ago,

Now, she’s bent,
been broken in two,
With so much vibrating,
so frail her innocent heart,
now sings deaths tune,
to do us part

Too much pain
has broken with scars,
MY Dearest Silver Thread
sings songs of doom and despair.

I will have no part of this
I say to you

For your strings are my strings too now
and mine yours…although old and scared,
are forever wise and young
are used to danger, can always see
how to join you, to be free
to sing of life and joy

To be together again , with
My Dearest Silver Strings ,
sing songs of love,
to the stars and back.

This portrait was inspired by and taken from a photograph my Honey sent me (of her own whim one night during conversation) of her first real smile to/for me. Her smile and warm heart is so touching me that i had no choice but to embrace and to take it all in this way as only an artist can… My dearest silver thread is an ongoing conversation of how the entire Universe is made up of tiny vibrating strings as are we …and how two people who just met can know each other so closely as to wonder if we were not already connected in someways before..and at last found each other..11″ × 14″ pencil/pen on light water color paper, portrait.
