Artist's Description

This honestly started out only as a sunset – the cross in the foreground was an afterthought. Actually, I can’t quite call it an afterthought, since this was another one of my meditation pictures, or something I painted as meditation. Again, I was playing with color and my favorite subject, sunsets. Despite the fact hat what you’re looking at could be considered a graveyard, it is a pretty graveyard overgrown with flowers. I guess you could call it unconventional, but as the sunset is the end of the day, so is death. As to why it’s called Martyr’s field, I just had the name in mind while doing this.
