I finally decided to change my little blurb on here… left it the same since I joined, time to vary it a little… I am a photographer from Abbotsford British Columbia in Canada. I love to shoot primarily people, but occasionally birds find themselves the victim of my lens, although that is getting rarer as my sight gets worse… that is right, I am going blind. I have a rare form of glaucoma that does not respond to treatment. I am the only “blind” photographer that I know of… and I find that as my vission fails, my photography gets better, probably as a result of me learning to see the world differently. Light and shadow are more important than detail, and composition rules all… I will be starting a project soon that documents my fears of darkness and blindness and I will be posting some of the photos from that here.
