Artist's Description

Homer was the ancient Bard traditionally credited with haing written the tw great ‘lays’ or poetic epics of Ancient Greece, the Iliad and the Odyssey. These are the two oldest extant works of Western literature.

The Dyssey is the story of the epic adventures of Odysseus following the fall of Troy, while the Iliad is the story of the war between the Laconians and the Trojans triggered off by the theft of Helen, king Menelaus’ wife, by Paris, king of Troy..
