Pencil artist Jude Cowell draws at a drafting table in the trees near Atlanta, Georgia USA and blogs on Political Astrology at Stars Over...

Artist, Political Astrology blogger, and a Georgia native now located North of Atlanta, my preferred medium is oil and watercolor pencil on paper but I have created and sold fabric and felt art, bead work accessories, wire, mirror and vintage jewelry ‘Candle Bowers’ based on bower bird nests, and acrylic paintings and portraits.

Currently I use Prismacolor oil and Rexel Derwent watercolour pencils when not using black pen, a holdover from my days at Atlanta School of Art (now College of Art) for Fashion Illustration, Layout, and Design.

Blending real-with-imaginary is my usual style (Saturn w Neptune!) which may be seen most obviously in my ‘Dreamyfish Art’ collection of botanical fish portraits ‘ensnared within their favorite dream locations’ and where Save Our Oceans and Rivers is a constant refrain. And for Botanical and Children’s Art there’s ‘Secret Moon Art’ which blends in a bit of Astrology but not too much. Both art collections are on Google’s blogspot dot com.

Plus, you can usually find me at www.starsoverwashington.com if you’re curious about Politics as seen with a populist stance through the ancient lens of Astrology! If not, I can’t say I blame you. So…

Art On, Everyone! for Campaign 2016 will end…eventually,

You spend hours drawing so why not splash some images onto Red Bubble? / Well, the drawing and the splashing are the easy parts, and even examples from my Dreamyfish Art collection can do that without batting a fish&…

Red Bubble turns out to be fabulous!

Though I’m still very much a newbie here, my friend TK was right: Red Bubble is a very supportive and encouraging Art Community. / Not being a techie though, my concern is about Ever being ready to do some of the fancier things here like making my area nicer for company, uploading images for greeting cards, posters, calendars (that’ll never happen!), and T-shirts (fat chance!) / TK ha…

Obama to Washington DC, Jude to Red Bubble

Okay, it’s hardly the same – Barack Obama and family have now swept into my favorite city, Washington, DC this weekend, Congress reconvenes on Tuesday, Jan 6 – and I’ve just discovered Red Bubble! / The word so far is that Red Bubble is user-friendly and a wonderfully encouraging place for artists to offer their work. / And though I’ve not figured out yet how to dri…
