Artist's Description

Beautiful Fashion Figures From the Era of the Suffragettes can now be a part of your daily life as a beautiful, but compelling, reminder of our dear sisters who fought for our right to vote and have more equality. Keep up the good fight!

During this time, as woman were fighting for Equality and the Right to Vote, Fashion began to change and the tight restrictions of the Victorian and Edwardian Era came to an end. Looser styles of dress, sometimes called Reform Dress became fashionable. Softer, less restricted clothing allowed for much more freedom of movement, which in turn gave more independence and freedom to woman of that time. The ability to walk with larger strides, breathe without constraint and have the possibility to ride a bicycle gave woman of all economic standings the ability to be more free and independent.
