Carob decided to pose for me while I was taking pictures of our Birch tree. After chasing leaves and rolling around in them, I captured this shot with the heart-shaped leaf on his head (not staged). We took Carob in off the streets in my parents’ small town and tried to make him an indoor kitty. But once Spring came around, he wanted his freedom and was off wandering. We didn’t see him for a long time until one day, he showed up on our porch again and he hasn’t left since. He now has FIV (the feline version of HIV-ironic because I was the director of an AIDS organization), but does pretty well.
