'Tis Autumn

Lo there do I see the patterns turning
Cris-crossing the moonlight under heaven
A chilling breeze bellows, it is autumn
Preparing the days for the blanket of winter
Soon the colors will paint the mountain sides
Reds, golds and yellows dotting the green trees
The fields are ripened, it’s time to harvest
And fill the pantries with canned fruits and veggies
These are the golden months of autumn
The delightful end to an abundant year
Laboring along to rest in winter’s death
Where the chilling frost awaits for the thaw of spring

'Tis Autumn

Artist's Description

Autumn is, hands down, my all time favorite season. I feel more alive and at peace during this time of the year. Perhaps it’s by reason of birth (September 30) that welcomed me so abundantly into this world. I would like to think so anyways.
