The 2 juvenile bald eagles on the anclote river are now around 10 -11 weeks old and are very big birds, already much larger than Ospreys. They are flying very clumsily and don`t venture too far from the nest always waiting for their parents to bring food, usually a fish.It is fascinating how quicklyt he adults fly in ,usually low and don`t hover with the fish like Ospreys, just fly in low and drop the fish on the nest. The 2 juveniles then rush to the nest and eat one at a time.
