Autism

Without instinct their eyes simply wander

Pushing and pausing their tiny fingers saunter

Holding onto words like genies in a bottle

Unveiling their struggle in a circular motion

Their muses go unsorted their tiny wings flutter

A faultless spirit used only by allegory

—for them no dreading God, for us, no life story

Vernal eyes held captive

expression vaulted

Agape unfettered incubus steals not a glimpse

at ones acrobat chimera

off puzzled parents lips
