Path of the Lövö trail in the Store Mosse (Big Swamp) National Park in Gnösjo, Sweden.

People must stay in that track nearly for 12km. Stepping out of it can mean to get stuck on the swamp inside of the mud or even falling into a bog. People and animals already died in the past because of it.

Before the central part of the swamp became a National Reserve this was used as a peat “factory” employing hundreds of people. Some when in the beggining of the XXth century there was a huge fire at the warehouse destroying everything and the business shuted down.

Scientists say that in about 1000 to 2000 years there will be no more swamp left because the trees that grow up are slowlly draining the swamp and one day all of it will be forest. In the meanwhile you can go there and visit it.
