From the Director, Universal Association of Plankers, New York

Good Morning,

As we related to you recently, ‘George’ wrote to us via email from across the great divide, with a message about ‘Forgiveness’.
As you may recall, he has to forgive forty things that he was angry or upset about when alive. If he can manage this with sincerity, his chance of passing through the Pearly Gates improves. He wrote to us with his second lot of ten ‘I forgives’. Here they are, from his teenage years.

Hello again it’s George still in Limbo.
You know forgiving things does make you feel better, I think I detect a
slight glow coming on.
Anyway here’s my seriously considered teenage list. It was very difficult to arrive at ten, I had so many bad thoughts (oh dear)…..

1 I forgive whosoever (or whatever) invented pimples.
2 I forgive Janet Brown for packing me in.
3 I forgive Alison for telling Brian things about me/us when we went camping.
4 I forgive my parents.
5 I forgive my sister for pinching my best white tee shirt and tie-dyeing it.
6 I forgive Dave for breaking my tooth.
7 I forgive Life for not providing a set of explanations and rules for sex or girlfriends.
8 I forgive ‘The Warts’ for not letting me join their band.
9 I forgive Benny for riding my Lambretta into the back of a police-car.
10 I forgive all the Glam-Rock bands.

(Ten is really not enough!) George.

From UAP: * Please note that from now on ‘The Plank’ will be available on my Writing Site and on the website
