Red Rumped Parrot at Serendip Sanctuary, Lara / Geelong. Taken in the large aviary where they are used people walking close by. This little fellow was very obliging by sitting temporarily on the suspended branch.

I love the colours. My sister was pointing out one of these a few days ago in Moree.
Brilliant colours and knowing it can’t go far, allows you to get a good position to photograph.
Thanks John. This was taken at Serendip Sanctuary for birds. This year we have had a lot of rain, so it was good to see the water birds with plenty of water, compared to my last visit during the drought.
