The Yoke of Injustice

The moon, as it fades life fades withal

Gravity tis a mutual thing one who conspires for us and at times against

And as the darkness erodes the light so doth the light the dark

I see firm a yoke of injustice in this somewhere

The mannerisms of the dark can be indicated

Even at youth when at just a silhouette

Thus more damaging as an array of bullets

Opposed to our heartland

Then a throb of pain

Our hearts tend to an open wound
An angry one it is

Meanly fare

Heart at heart

We mend these tremulous wings of ours

And toil this turmoil

Til the brink of dawn

Are we truly slaves to this cage or are we gone

Free of infidelity

Free thereof the unjustly crime

That sought our hands earlier than the rest.

earlier in time.
