Colors changed when you walked into my life
I knew on that day I had met my future wife
Tears turned to diamonds and cold turned to warm
The trust that was broken was no longer torn
Your hand on my face made my heart seem at ease
My eyes spied your smile that expelled my disease
My lips against yours sent my soul on a ride
My hand on your waist held an angel at my side
Your beautiful voice would deliver to me
The sweetest of sounds there could possibly be
Your skin against mine made the world go away
Morning rays shone your hair on the darkest of days
To hold you so close was so close to divine
It was hard to believe you were actually mine
I’ll never forget the love in your eyes
The day we never got to say our goodbyes
The sound of the phone and a call came from hell
The sickness of pain that no words could ever tell
The colors all changed when your body was shattered
The world that was warm now no longer mattered
The darkest of days are back in my life
What hopelessness now, my beautiful wife.
