Artist's Description

My most controversial work to date. Arcylic and oil paint, plus very light washy brush strokes were used to develop a background to identify the main character. The fishnet stockings, translucent mini skirt (or bed dress), oily black high heeled shoes, the broken cocktail glass and bloodied eye, all pose questions. Even the chain around her ankle has tested many people to ask questions of the painting. The title “Shattered” is how I felt when my soul mate ran away for the third time – and maybe this time – lost forever. The ankle chain is possibly what I wanted to do..chain her up so she can’t run away again. As for the other items, the eye, the blood, the glass – you’ll have to use your own imagination as to what happened.
