Artist's Description

Canticle was the last work that Sydney’s Clarion Fracture Zone recorded – an extended work with choir in several languages (English, Scots Gaelic and Bulgarian for starters). The suite Canticle was commissioned by Paddington Uniting Church as a response to that church’s debate on human sexuality. It was at this time that the band’s co-leader Tony Gorman announced his impending retirement due to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Fortunately due to medication Tony has been able to continue his musical practice and his two solo clarinet records have been best sellers.
Leica M3, 90mm Summicron, Fuji film.
