This photograph of an old kitchen was taken from within one of the buildings that comprise what remains of the Larundel mental asylum in Melbourne. Living in Tasmania, I have only been there once and will unlikely be able to visit again as the buildings are soon to be demolished to make way for a housing development. The title of this photograph was chosen because the main thing that caught my eye in regard to this paticular room was that almost everything was destroyed except the curtians, which still hung as they would have done for many years. For me, that is why this room seemed so creepy.
