A groomed walking trail in the woods at Oka Park, during the winter, and a beach/park access road in the summer, Quebec CANADA. There was not a soul in sight today when we walked there. The silence was incredible, all we could hear was the crunch of the snow beneath our feet, the occasional rustle of our winter coats as we moved our arms, and our breath as we inhaled and exhaled. The trees shielded us from the wind. It was a very peaceful experience. At the very end of this path is the beach, now of course completely hidden by a layer of snow, but an inviting open space when we arrived, and we happily made our way to the lodge for a fireside sip of hot chocolate.
