Artist's Description

We used to sail with my parent’s in law many years ago on the Rideau River. I tried to capture the exhilaration of racing across the sparkling water with the boat heeling over (but not too much lol!) This is a tribute to my father in law Jim who passed away a long time ago. It’s how I remember him best! I can almost hear him saying, “Polly how’s that coffee coming along?” As soon as we got underway and things were relatively calm, my mother in law would go into the cabin and make him coffee! That’s why there is only one figure in the painting hah hah!
Painted with Corel Painter 11 using digital watercolours.
