Got a Bachelor in Zoology later in life, tried to become a zookeeper in San Diego (where family is), failed, got an office job for a few months as a temp, laid off, and while on unemployment had multiple sclerosis manifest and am disabled. Decided to redirect my zookeeper experiences and degree into art as a result.
