Artist's Description

This classy T-shirt features the fossil skull of Machaeroides, a “dagger-toothed” predator that lived in the Eocene Era, 56 to 34 million years ago. It was among the first predators with enlarged canine teeth. Roughly the size of a large modern bobcat, Machaeroides was a Creodont, not a cat at all. It is more ancient than true Felid cats and Nimravid pseudo-cats, had more teeth, a longer skull, shorter legs, and walked flat-footed. Yet it was still large enough to hunt the horses and rhinos of its time! Wear this rare and ancient predator from Wyoming with pride, or opt to own this design on stickers, cards, notebook, pillow, or tablet case.
