Artist's Description

Lookout Mountain, Golden, Colorado. They are very tiny, but there are hang-gliders, and parasailors, also some waiting on the mountain (to the right of the “M”) to launch. Airstreams from the Great Plains come in from the East, creating tremendous updrafts as they hit the mountains in Golden.
The “M” on Lookout stands for the Colorado School of Mines, and is tended by the Students. At night, it is lit up, usually white. However, at different times of the year, they change the colors (Christmas it is red and green, Halloween is orange, etc.) or they change the shape (numbers indicating days till graduation etc.)
