Artist's Description

Cape Arago is the furthest point on the west coast of the United States. Though you can’t get to the vantage point from which I painted this scene I wanted to look back at the coastline so badly at this time of day, I decided to paint it. Each tree was painted with painstaking detail and I made sure to leave secrets for the eye to pick up on each time the painting is viewed. I kept the colors vibrant and just surreal, but not to the point of abstract. This was a very special place for me as I took my daughter there often when she and I lived in Coos Bay. The painting is 45.5 inches by 37 inches and done in acrylic. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I did painting it.
